Our Story

In 2017, citytransformation.org led the effort with leaders of Port Aransas, Texas to help rebuild their city after being devastated by Hurricane Harvey. Our founder, Randy Skinner, was the only non-citizen on the committee leading the rebuilding of Port Aransas. Skinner was also appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott to the One-Star Foundation which oversaw the $100m Hurricane Harvey Fund to help the Gulf Coast recovery. Skinner also worked with the national office of HUD top relief and faith based officials to help in securing recovery funds.

“During Hurricane Harvey in 2017, Randy Skinner and his organization ‘City Transformation’ played a critical role in bringing resources, awareness, and relief organizations together. City Transformation had boots on the ground day one for recovery efforts, and if it wasn’t for them working very closely with local and state government leaders, local church communities, and other outside relief organizations, my business would not have recovered as quickly and as beautifully as it did.”
